An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual with experience in renewable energy development to work within the team delivering Welsh Government Energy Service.

We are looking for a development manager to support primarily communities and also public sector organisations to develop renewable energy, shared ownership and energy system projects that help maximise the local benefits of renewable energy systems across Wales.

As part of a team of development managers, you will provide advice to organisations developing sustainable energy projects including technical, regulatory, financial, governance and community engagement aspects. You will identify the needs of individual projects to provide bespoke assistance and to help them access support from within the Welsh Government Energy Service and will undertake local networking and stakeholder management to raise awareness of the service and overcome barriers to projects.

You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and experience in undertaking assessment of renewable energy projects using GIS packages and other industry standard software. You will be required to travel, and must be able to work well within the team, as well as work effectively on your own, sometimes outside normal working hours.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Communications Executive to assist in the delivery of marketing activity for a number of high profile programmes in Scotland including renewable energy and Home Energy Scotland Loans.

You will work with the Marketing Communications Manager to deliver annual marketing plans. You will plan and implement multi-channel campaigns, including website, email, e-newsletters, events and social media channels in order to achieve programme KPIs and objectives. You will have broad marketing background ideally in a similar role.  You will work well under pressure, have good project and event management skills, and excellent copywriting and proof reading skills.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the EST Scottish Home Renewables team to help Scottish householders reduce their carbon emissions and fuel bills through the benefits of home renewables and energy efficiency improvements.

You will undertake all elements of project delivery including management of specific projects, providing excellent customer service, budget management, knowledge transfer, monitoring and reporting on targets and working with contractors to help them deliver. 

You will have a particular focus on the Green Homes Network and Green Network for Businesses. These services, funded by the Scottish Government, aim to showcase exemplars to inspire and encourage others to take action on reducing carbon emissions.  You will also contribute to the delivery of other projects being managed by the Scottish Home Renewables team.

Your key responsibilities will be writing case studies and liaising with existing and new Green Network members to update and create information. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be fundamental to the post. You will require very good organisational, planning and prioritisation skills to ensure tasks are delivered to a high quality in a fast-paced environment. You will work well within a team and have good problem solving and administrative skills.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Home Energy Scotland team at Energy Saving Trust working with businesses and other organisations to support employee engagement sessions on saving energy and on preventing food waste.

Home Energy Scotland is a Scottish Government programme managed by Energy Saving Trust. We are a network of local advice centres covering all of Scotland.  Our expert advisors offer free, impartial advice on energy saving, renewable energy, sustainable transport, waste prevention and more.

You will be responsible for leading the employee engagement activity, working collaboratively with the Home Energy Scotland network and key stakeholders including a team of locally based outreach advisors who deliver Energy Saving Trust employee engagement workshops for Home Energy Scotland and Love Food Hate Waste to businesses, the public sector and third sector organisations. You will motivate and support the advisors so that they deliver exceptional customer service and reach contractual targets ensuring they have the tools and resources to ensure that all activity is recorded and reported accurately.

You will be responsible for building effective partnerships with national organisations, representing Energy Saving Trust and the delivery partnership which includes Resource Efficient Scotland and Love Food Hate Waste. Your ability to manage and build effective relationships with a number of businesses through exemplary communication and influencing skills will be key to your success. Your knowledge of behavior-change to reduce energy use and food waste will be key to delivering exceptional performance.

As there will be extensive travel across Scotland it is desirable if the successful applicant holds a valid UK driving licence or if not can demonstrate how they would otherwise meet the mobility requirements of the role – Energy Saving Trust encourages use of public transport whenever practical and has access to an electric vehicle.
